Have you got an (almost) 18-month-old and are interested in participating? We are looking for toddlers to come to the Babylab in central London to participate in our research study. The visit will last approximately 3-4 hours, including breaks.

During the visit, we will ask your child to wear an EEG net to measure brain activity. EEG equipment is child-friendly and used frequently in toddler studies. During the EEG, we will use different types of stimulators. For example, we will attach a small sensor to the back of your child's hand which gives little taps/vibrations. These are very gentle and won't hurt your child. We are interested in how the brain responds to these. After the EEG, there will be some play-based tasks that your child will engage in together with one of the researchers. One of the other staff members may ask you some questions about your child's development, but you will be present with your child during the whole visit.

There will be time for (lunch) breaks and we will pace the study to accomodate your child's needs. Ultimately, we want this to be a fun experience for you and your child.

All families will be reimbursed for travel and for any lunch costs.

As we understand all children and families have different needs, please let us know when booking your visit so we can accomodate you in the best way possible.
